  • Kimley-Horn 1661 E Camelback Rd #400, Phoenix, AZ 85016 Phoenix, AZ, 85016 United States (map)

Join us for a Lunch & Learn from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM (Arizona MST) on February 18, 2026, hosted by Kimley-Horn at 1661 E Camelback Rd., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

This session, Leadership Development in Practice: Growing Leaders and Strong Project Teams, will be led by Anne DeBoard, PLA, ASLA, and Jayme Thoma, PE, CFM of Kimley-Horn. The discussion will explore practical approaches to developing emerging leaders and building strong project teams through intentional mentorship, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and relationship-based learning.

Attendees will gain insight into effective mentoring models, including how mentor-mentee relationships are formed, how trust and vulnerability support professional growth, and how flexible formats—such as group discussions and one-on-one connections—can strengthen professional networks. The presentation will also highlight observed outcomes and lessons learned from leadership development efforts within the land development industry.

This Lunch & Learn offers a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and engage in a thoughtful conversation about cultivating leaders, strengthening teams, and supporting long-term, sustainable growth within the development community.
