Chapter Leader of the Month
Kacey Lother
Land Development at Meritage Homes
We are proud to recognize Kacey Lother as our February Chapter Leader of the Month.
Kacey was selected not only for the challenges she navigates day in and day out, but for the way she steps into leadership with intention, resilience, and consistency. She welcomes responsibility, leads with clarity, and never allows obstacles to deter her from being the best version of herself—both in her role at Meritage Homes and as the leader of the South Florida Ladies in Land Chapter.
Kacey is a true inspiration for women across Florida, and we are incredibly proud to have her leading in this market.
Based in South Florida, Kacey is a seasoned land development professional with nearly a decade of experience delivering residential communities from entitlements through turnover. She currently serves in a land development role at Meritage Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, where she oversees community development operations across the South Florida region.
Her career spans some of the most respected names in homebuilding. Kacey transitioned into land development in early 2019 at Lennar as a Land Development Manager in Orlando, before moving into the same role at Mattamy Homes. There, she led the land development effort for the final and largest expansion—over 1,000 lots—of Celebration, Florida, the iconic master-planned community originally developed by the Walt Disney Company.
During her five years at Mattamy, Kacey rose from Land Development Manager to Director of Land Development, managing the full lifecycle of residential communities across Central Florida. She later served as Director of Land Development at Tri Pointe Homes in Orlando before transitioning to her current role at Meritage in mid-2025.
Before entering homebuilding, Kacey built a strong technical foundation in civil and environmental engineering, working at Poulos & Bennett, a respected Central Florida civil engineering and surveying firm.
Kacey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kacey is a passionate advocate for women in land development and construction. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, spending time on the water, and quiet walks along the beach.
Thank you, Kacey, for your leadership, perseverance, and commitment to elevating women in land development. The South Florida chapter—and Ladies in Land as a whole—is stronger because of you. 💛
